The antenna for the GPS module resides in the collar. To maximize satellite reception for the GPS module, it is important that the collar is orientated so that the plastic case is at the bottom of your dog's neck. The collar is designed so that this will occur naturally so long as it is applied slightly loose (but not hanging) on the neck. Here are some considerations when selecting a collar size for your dog: Measure the length of your current collar. Based on this number, you can select the RoamEO collar that best matches the length of your current collar. Please make sure that you take into account your dog's age and chances for future growth and allow for the collar to be worn slightly loose around the neck. Measure the circumference of your dog's neck. If it's easier or practical, you can measure the circumference of your dog's neck.
